Howto use LiveWallpapers on HTC Phones 
Android 2.1 introduced a new feature called Live Wallpapers. Unfortunately, new HTC phones hide this new functionality because HTC Sense that comes as the default Home App does not support Live Wallpapers as the 2.1 Standard defines them. I know the Incredible supports HTC Livewallpapers but it's a little unclear right now as to how this HTC Custom API compares to the standard. So, if you're using an HTC phone and want to use the Live Wallpapers that are based on the standard API (and there's a ton of them), here's how:

Note: These screen shots and instructions were scalped from an HTC Droid Eris. Any confirmation of these instructions on other HTC devices will be greatly appreciated, and if you can provide screen shots of anywhere these steps may differ on another device, you will not be unrewarded.

Step One: Press the Menu button, then tap Settings:


Step Two: Scroll to and tap Applications:


Step Three: Tap Manage Applications:


Step Four: Scroll through the apps and verify that you have Home, Live Wallpaper Picker, and at least one Live Wallpaer. If you do not have Home, Live Wallpaper Picker, either you are not running at least 2.1 or HTC robbed you. You will need to download a Home replacement app from the market that supports Live Wallpapers. If you have everything, tap on HTC Sense:


Step Five: Scroll down (if needed) until you see the Launch by default section:


Step Six: Tap the Clear defaults button:


Step Seven: Press the Home button and you will be prompted for what application to use to complete the Home Action:


Step Eight: Tapping on Home will take you to the standard Android Home:


Step Nine: Long press the desktop (hold your finger in one place) and you will get the Add to Home Screen menu:


Step Ten: Tap Wallpapers:


Step Eleven: Tap Live Wallpapers:


Step Twelve: Tap the desired Live Wallpaper:


Step Ten: Configure any options you want then tap the Set Wallpaper button:
